Sol-Fa Notes and the Musical Alphabet

Hello kids, mums and dads! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

You may have noticed that in the latest lessons we have been calling the notes with two different names.

This week Dani is teaching us about it so we clear any doubts we have.

In most of the countries of this part of the world the notes have the names:

DO๐Ÿ’š, REโค๏ธ, MI๐Ÿ’™ , FA๐ŸŠ , SO๐Ÿ’œ, LA๐Ÿ’— , TI๐Ÿ’›

But in English speaking countries the notes are called like the letters of the alphabet!

C๐Ÿ’š, Dโค๏ธ, E๐Ÿ’™ , F๐ŸŠ , G๐Ÿ’œ, A๐Ÿ’— , B๐Ÿ’›

(notice that they go from A to G and they start again, but normally the musical notes are shows with the C scale as an example, meaning we start with C and finish with B)

๐ŸŽ Here's a very interesting article in wikipedia about the origin of the Sol-Fa notes.
