Music Theory: Paper 5 - F and G
Hello kids, mums and dads! 😃
You have now finished Theory Papers 1, 2, 3 and 4. This week we will get you ready for PAPER 5. Sunita will teach us about the notes F and G 📝
🎶 Last week Dani went through each question one by one. This week's paper is really similar to last week's, but this time introduces F and G to us. The higher the paper numbers, the more challenging the questions are. Don't worry! Sunita will guide you through. For this week's theory lesson we will learn:
PAGE 1:
Draw middle F's and middle G's as crotchets, minims and semibreves. You can draw six or more of each. If you don't remember how to draw the different notes, please look at the diagram on the top of the page. 🎹
PAGE 2:
Exercise 3 is a fun game where you connect the right notes to the right staff.
PAGE 3:
Exercise 4: Can you name the correct notes? Is it C, D, E, F or G? Is it a Crotchet, a Minim or a Semibreve?
Exercise 5: Test your knowledge. Just tick or cross.
Exercise 6: Draw the correct notes
PAGE 4:
Exercise 7: Each bar has 3 notes. You will find that they spell a word if you put them together.
Exercise 8: Now we have the words and you have to draw the notes on the staff as Semibreves. Each letter is one note!
Exercise 9: Right your own tune using C, D, E, F or G. Use Crotchets, Minims and Semibreves. You can also write the words for your own tune and give it a name.
Exercise 10: Add bar lines. Remember, every 4 beats you have to draw a line to create bars. 1, 2, 3, 4 BAR! 1, 2, 3, 4 BAR! Remember Crotchets count as 1 beat, minims as 2 and semibreves as 4.
